MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND

In order to increase, enhance and expand the number of scholarships available to recipients, the Oshawa-Whitby Kiwanis Music Festival Memorial Scholarship Fund has been established.

The goal of the Fund is to expand upon the present scholarship list available to students so as to encourage our youth to pursue their interest in the Arts.  It is our sincere hope that the contributions and bequests made to the fund will eventually allow each class and category to have a dedicated source of funding to provide a scholarship fund which can benefit and encourage excellence in all areas of the Arts.

The committee welcomes contributions in memory of individuals who have had an interest in the Festival or in the Arts in general. Bequests may be received from the estates and in the name of Persons who wish the Festival to expand its service to the community via a new scholarship.

The annual income received from such contributions will be distributed annually. The adjudicator(s), will be responsible for the selection of winners based on performances they have heard during the Festival. The Board of Directors will accept responsibility for the proper administration of the funds placed in Trust.

Each year the Program will list the names of those Individuals, Estates, Groups or Corporations whose contributions have been received and we will identify the Scholarships supported by these funds.
