A scholarship in the amount of $300.00 will be awarded by the Kiwanis Club of Westmount in memory of Dr. J.N. Lowes, the first chairman of he Music Festival, to an Elementary School Senior Band upon the recommendation of the Adjudicator(s). Competition is based on two selections of musical contrast of the competitor's own choice or test piece that has been performed at one of the Sessions of the current Festival.

A scholarship in the amount of $200.00 will be awarded to a Secondary School Senior Band upon the recommendation of the adjudicator(s).
