FOUNDERS TROPHY and THE HAYWARD MURDOCH MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP SENIOR INSTRUMENTAL - EST'D 1971

One scholarship will be awarded as a result of a run-off competition from Instrumental classes other than voice and piano. Adjudicators recommend contestants from the Grade 9 and above Senior Instrumental classes to attend and perform a previously adjudicated selection from the current festival for consideration and evaluation. The winner is then selected based on performance, by the adjudicators, as the recipient of the Senior Instrumental Scholarship and Founders Trophy. Hayward Murdoch was past President of the Oshawa Kiwanis Club and a Chairman of the Music Festival

One scholarship will be awarded as a result of a run-off competition from Instrumental classes other than voice and piano. Adjudicators recommend contestants from the Grade 6, 7 and 8 Intermediate Instrumental classes to attend and perform a previously adjudicated selection from the current festival for consideration and evaluation. Adjudicators are responsible for the selection of participants and are solely responsible for the awarding of the Scholarship and Trophy.
FOUNDERS TROPHY and JUNIOR INSTRUMENTAL SCHOLARSHIP

A $250.00 scholarship is awarded to the winner of the Junior Instrumental Play-off Competition for participants at the Grade 5 level and lower. Adjudicators are responsible for the selectionof participants and are solely responsible for the awarding of the Scholarship and Trophy.
