The Oshawa-Whitby Kiwanis Music Festival now in it's 48th year, has grown from over 500 entries in the first year to over 1700 entries in recent years with approximately 6000 participants.

At one time, the Festival was funded entirely from the local Kiwanis Clubs but it has grown in size and importance even as the Kiwanis presence in the area declined. Of last year's operating budget of $63,300, approximately 33% came from Kiwanis Clubs and the remainder was derived from enrollment fees, advertising, patronage, program book sales and other contributions.

Government assistance over the years at municipal, provincial, and federal levels has been minimal.

This event has an large regional profile, especially among children and youth, who represent over 80% of our performing constituency. We are seeking active corporate sponsors who appreciate this performer demographic and wish to associate themselves with it.
